Another new update

I'm being sent to Billings, Montana to see a specialist. I am having many "post concussive symptoms" that are just not getting any better, so on Tuesday I will be seeing a team of specialists to see what more can be dome. What I am hearing is that they "should" naturally resolve, but that I may be off work for as much as 3 months.

Symptoms include balance problems, fatigue, vision problems, memory loss, word loss, extreme emotional lability, panic attacks, and other issues. It really sucks and I am hoping the docs can find something to help alleviate the symptoms.

In the meantime, I try to remain positive, but it is, admittedly, very difficult!

So, I don't know if this will be helpful, and if it isn't please forgive me. When I was in 7th Grade my teacher was standing by the door one day during transitions. She was little, like 5 foot. A few of the bigger boys were trying to push their way through the door, and they knocked her over, and she hit her head very badly. She was out for te rest of the school year, like 4 months, in therapy to regain all her abilities, memory and funtion wise.

She was back the next year. A bit scared, but back. And she is fine!!

My point is it might take time, but it'll get there.

Doctors are good people. They'll get you fixed up!

Very helpful to hear a real-life story of all this being temporary. The symptoms seem so debilitating that it is hard sometimes to believe that it can be temporary.

Thanks again, Bri! You ROCK! :o)
